As an Operator at HKS Zwartsluis, you are a key member of our modern recycling facility. You ensure that the shredder plant operates safely, efficiently and at peak performance, and help to maintain a stable production process.

You operate and maintain the plant, monitor the quality of the material and the process, and assist with troubleshooting. In addition, you carry out first-line inspections and support repair and maintenance work. Do you have no prior experience with this? We will gladly teach you the trade.

You will also operate a forklift to move materials and, together with your colleagues, ensure a safe, tidy, and organised working environment. With your technical interest, eagerness to learn, and team spirit, you will contribute to an efficient and sustainable recycling operation.

As an Operator at HKS Tiel, you are a vital link within our modern recycling facility, where we not only process metals but are also actively involved in plastics recycling. At this site, we work with innovative installations, including a unique plastic recovery plant that leads the way in recycling technology within Europe. You will ensure that our high-tech installations run optimally and are jointly responsible for the production process. You will operate and maintain the sorting installations, monitor material and process quality, and manage a small team, depending on the production line.

In addition, you work with a forklift and keep the work floor tidy. Safety, environment, and quality are paramount to you. With your technical insight, flexible attitude, and team spirit, you contribute to an efficient and sustainable recycling operation.

You will be working a two-shift system here.

What are your main tasks?

• Operating and setting up the total sorting installation(s).
• Preventive maintenance and rectifying minor faults.
• Reporting and flagging technical faults or anomalies.
• To ensure an efficient and stable production process
• Checking the quality of the material and process.
• Coordinating staff depending on the production line.
• Encouraging good co-operation and a safe working environment.

As a Junior Operator, you will work with your colleagues to ensure the production process runs smoothly. You will identify malfunctions and problems that affect the process, environment, or safety. Additionally, you will carry out standard and extra sampling and checks when necessary. You will also keep the machine lines clean and tidy, and ensure a safe working environment.

At HKS, we process metals and recover plastics using modern installations. For this, we even use a unique installation that can't be found anywhere else in Europe. Thanks in part to your important contribution, this special process continues to run smoothly.

To ensure that our production continues to run smoothly day in, day out, you’ll work alongside your colleagues on a two-shift rota. Together, you’ll ensure that the plant continues to perform at its best. Of course, you won’t be on your own: we’ll actively support you in your development and offer you plenty of opportunities to progress to become a fully-fledged operator.

• Keeping the production environment and machine lines clean.;
• Performing standard checks, samples, and additional checks where necessary;
• Supporting operators with daily tasks;
• Reporting faults, pollution or unsafe situations.;
• Ensuring a tidy and safe working environment;
