Your role

Together with your colleagues, you, as a Maintenance Technician, are responsible for keeping all machine lines and rolling stock operational. You resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on all equipment at the site, and in addition, you carry out modifications and repairs. It is your task to ensure that your colleagues can carry out their work with well-functioning and safe equipment.

With your technical background, you possess problem-solving skills, are good at planning, and have strong organisational talent. You actively.

What are your main tasks?

  • To ensure all machine lines and rolling stock are kept in optimal condition, together with colleagues.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and first-line electrical faults.
  • Carrying out adjustments and repairs to the equipment.
  • Ensuring colleagues can carry out their work safely and with well-functioning equipment.
  • Participating in and coordinating improvement projects.
  • Planning and organising technical work.
  • Independently design and execute technical projects.

Your profile

  • Completed MBO (vocational college) qualification, preferably technical.
  • Your command of the Dutch language.
  • You have experience with 5S and/or Lean.
  • Besides having an affinity for engineering and metals, you also have experience in electrical and control engineering.
  • You have an affinity for PLC controls.

Your role

As Technical Coordinator Maintenance, you are responsible for developing, optimising, and safeguarding the maintenance policy within the establishment. You ensure that installations, machines, and technical facilities are available to the maximum extent possible at minimum cost and risk.

You are the go-between for production, technical services, suppliers, and management. You analyse malfunctions, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate these into concrete maintenance strategies and technical projects.

Although you are regularly present on the work floor and work closely with the mechanics, your focus lies on coordination, optimisation, and structural improvements.

What are your main tasks?

  • Developing maintenance policies and maintenance plans.
  • Improving installation performance based on data and analytics.
  • Management of technical projects and maintenance shutdowns.
  • Professionalising Ultimo and maintenance processes.
  • Managing external parties and suppliers.
  • Advising on investments, reliability and continuous improvement.

Your profile

  • HBO/WO level of work and thinking in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, work preparation, or asset management within a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems such as Ultimo, SAP PM or Maximo.
  • Analytically strong, data-driven, and experienced in process improvement and project-based work.
  • Communicative and able to connect various stakeholders.

Your role

As a Crane Operator at HKS, you are the linchpin of the daily operations at our yard. With your mobile crane, you ensure that all incoming material is efficiently unloaded, sorted, and prepared for further processing. You are responsible for the storage and warehousing of metals, loading and unloading trucks, and carefully loading our heavy equipment – including the largest shredder in the Netherlands. Thanks to your expertise, the material flow continues smoothly and safely.

Do you already have experience in assessing, approving, and sorting metals? If so, that's a great asset. If not, we will train you internally so you can master this quickly. Of course, the daily maintenance of your crane is also part of your duties, ensuring your machine always remains in top condition.

  • Efficient sorting of incoming material with the mobile crane.
  • Responsible for the storage and warehousing of metals.
  • Loading and unloading lorries.
  • Loading of heavy equipment, including the largest shredder in the Netherlands.
  • Assessing, approving and sorting metals (or learning this through internal training).
  • Performing daily maintenance on the crane and ensuring the machine remains in good working order.
  • Contributing to a safe, tidy, and structured working environment on the site.
  • To be flexible and step in where needed to support the production process.

Your role

As an Operator at HKS Zwartsluis, you are a key member of our modern recycling facility. You ensure that the shredder plant operates safely, efficiently and at peak performance, and help to maintain a stable production process.

You operate and maintain the plant, monitor the quality of the material and the process, and assist with troubleshooting. In addition, you carry out first-line inspections and support repair and maintenance work. Do you have no prior experience with this? We will gladly teach you the trade.

You will also operate a forklift to move materials and, together with your colleagues, ensure a safe, tidy, and organised working environment. With your technical interest, eagerness to learn, and team spirit, you will contribute to an efficient and sustainable recycling operation.

What are your main tasks?

  • Operating, monitoring and setting up the shredder plant.
  • Carrying out first-line inspections on installations and equipment.
  • Rectify minor faults and identify deviations.
  • To provide support with repair and maintenance work.
  • Monitoring of material and process quality.
  • Moving materials and products with a forklift.
  • Ensuring order, cleanliness, and safety on the workplace.
  • Actively contribute to improvements in the process and working environment.
