Crane Operator / Forklift Operator (Non-Ferrous)

Your role
As a Crane Operator / Forklift Driver, you ensure that various materials are safely and efficiently unloaded, moved and sorted on our site. You operate the crane and forklift and work together with your colleagues to ensure the process runs smoothly.
But your role goes beyond just operating machinery. You will increasingly delve into non-ferrous metals, such as copper, aluminium and stainless steel. You will learn how to recognise, assess and properly sort different metals.
Don't you have that knowledge yet? No problem. We will train you internally at HKS to become a Non-Ferro Specialist.
What are your main tasks?
- Operating the crane and fork-lift truck;
- Loading, unloading and moving various metals;
- Sorting materials and putting them in the right place;
- Assisting customers with loading and unloading;
- Checking incoming materials;
- Increasingly learning to recognise and assess different non-ferrous metals;
- Ensuring a safe, tidy and well-organised working environment;
- Collaborating with your colleagues on the site and in the office.

Your profile
- You have experience in operating a crane and/or forklift truck;
- You have an affinity for engineering and heavy equipment;
- Experience in the metal or recycling industry is a bonus, but not a requirement;
- Knowledge of non-ferrous metals is not essential: we will teach you that internally;
- You have a command of the Dutch language;
- You work safely, accurately and have an eye for your surroundings;
- You like to roll up your sleeves.
