Materials

Copper

Copper

Remarks
Commercial use mixed copper waste. Free from plastic, iron, shredded materials, geysers and other foreign materials. Apart from processing pure copper types, you can also contact us for composite products such as boilers and demolition waste.

Derived from
(Red) copper is known for its excellent conductivity of electricity and heat and for its flexibility, which is why it is often used for industrial purposes.

Cable

Cable

Remarks
HKS processes all kinds of cable for you. They include ground cables with an iron or lead sheath and grease, to ordinary cables made of copper and/or aluminium. Both our national and international networks enable us to dispose of all your cables at maximum value and with a minimum strain on the environment.

Derived from
Industrial sector, data centres, construction and demolition waste and consumer electronics.

Lead

Lead

Remarks
This page only shows some of the many non-ferrous products HKS Metals can process. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Derived from
Lead is a soft, flexible and pliable dark blue and grey metal that is a poor conductor of electricity at room temperature. It is highly corrosion-resistant.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel

Remarks
Stainless steel is also referred to as inox. It can roughly be divided into stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316. HKS can process and/or dispose of all your iron/chrome/nickel alloys, whether it concerns a kitchen worktop or an industrial pipeline.

Derived from
Often used in industrial pipelines, as well as kitchens, pots and pans. Stainless steel 316, which is deemed more valuable, is often used in the food industry.

Zinc

Zinc

Remarks
Zinc is mainly used for its flexibility and affordability. These excellent processing properties make it a very popular type of material in the construction industry.

Derived from
From door fittings to gutter

Brass

Brass

Remarks
Free from iron, sleeves, shredder, radiator caps, geyser burners, turnings, grindings, aluminium bronze, manganese brass, material with a high Si content and other foreign elements. Brass hair wire to be presented separately only.

Derived from
Brass or yellow copper (CuZn) is an alloy of copper (55-70%) and zinc (45-30%). Yellow copper takes its name from the colour.

Bronze

Bronze

Remarks
A minimum of 80% Cu 5% Sn. Free from turnings, iron, plastic aluminium bronze, manganese brass, bronze with yellow spindles and other foreign elements

Derived from
Thanks to the addition of tin, bronze is harder and less flexible than copper . It has less bending strength and a bigger density, and is therefore not very popular in the construction industry.

Aluminium

Aluminium

Remarks

Derived from
Kozijnen, industriƫle toepassingen, automobiel industrie. Geen metaal is zo veelzijdig als aluminium vanwege zijn sterkte in combinatie met (licht)gewicht.
